Hey everyone, first off I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Dave. I'm located in Florida. Hope everyone here has had a happy holiday season.

On to the question.. My daughter owns a 2003 Elantra. Her FOB stopped working. I replaced the battery to see if it would fix the problem, but afterwards I found the FOB still did not work. All the research I have done indicates that the reprogramming of the FOB needs to be done by the dealer. In addition, I came across a TSB located @ http://www.hmaservice.com<about:blank> that states I would need a cable link between the vehicle and the diagnostic scanner.

After this, I came across your web page and the post by Anton Tutter in Garage section, page 4 that describes how to program a new FOB without going to the dealer.

Basically, my question is this: I'd like to make sure I can reprogram my old FOB using this method. Also, I'd like to make sure this would work on an '03 Elantra. I would hate to waste time pulling the dash apart just to realize it can't be done.

Dave
