Hey,
An update. Just got the verdict. Right rear wheel bearing is shot...as
many suspected. He is quoting me $310 for the part, labor and tax including
the half hour diagnostic visit today. They do not have the part and will do
the work Monday.
He said it shouldn't do any harm to drive it in the short term as the hub
assembly comes with the part so if I damaged the hub....it's all the same
repair?? Sound reasonable.
Of course, this is where I wish I would have taken auto repair classes as
the $75 dollar part and greasy banged up knuckles sound better than $310.
Thanks to all for the advice and information.
