Also, if there are any scratch marks in the clearcoat after getting the cart
stuff off, use Scratch-X to get them out. Ball up a shop towel, then put
another one over it. Put a little Scratch-X on the towel and rub the livin'
sh!t out of the affected area. You have to do it hard and fast to generate
a little heat. You're not filling in the scratches, but softening the edges
of them so you can't see them. The heat helps do that.
I had to use Scratch-X after using polishing compound on a small blemish and
the polishing compound scratched the clearcoat. Scratch-X saved the day.

Some F***** slammed what I think was a Walmart cart into the side of my car,
just above the front right wheel well. Left a nice blue scuff about 2 or 3
inches long, and a matching dent. I'm looking for suggestions for how to get
rid of the scuff. I'll probably have to go to my dealership to get the dent
out. Scratching at the paint with my nail (carefully of course) doesn't
remove it. Thanks
