I had that feeling too for a while.  I must have gotten used to it, cuz it
hasn't bothered me for a while.

Does anyone have any issues with the ease of pusing
the accelerator pedal in an '05 GT? I have a half hour
ride to and from work, and the pedal is so easy, there
is almost no tension on it, my calf kills me because I
have to hold my foot up in position! Anyone else have
