Congrats on the "05. My "02 is Rally Red (best color) w/ a 5 speed  
and it is not a cop magnet. I honestly think cops don't even see GT's
They don't know what it is!

As for the spoiler, I didn't want to pay $350 for that piece of  
plastic so I don't have one, but it could goof up your bike carrier.

We also have done wonders with cut up foam pool doodles. ( You know  
the things your kids use to beat the hell out of each other at the pool)
You cut them long ways down the middle.
There is are several pieces on the inside of the garages door  
(hatch), along the walls (door), and even on the garage door opener  
attachment point.
My husband's tall and the opener is low.

Different gas millage could also be the result of having too much  
"fun" with the 5-speed and less "fun" with the manual.
