I was surprised to see the holdover engine, actually. I guess they are going
purely with what sells, and they have their demographic marked out so they
are not going to mess with the formula too much and risk running the cost
up.

True, but it also is not priced like the Civic. They must be content to
compete with the rest in the class, like Corolla, Sentra, Focus and the
like.
