Different strokes for different folks, I guess, Brian. When I lived in
Detroit, I ALWAYS used all season tires and never had a problem, even if the
roads were not plowed.

There's no such thing as an all season tire that's any good in snow.
They all suck. The only tires that are good in snow are snow tires. The
difference is absolutely night and day. Unless you've tried them, it's
difficult to appreciate how much better they are. If you want good snows
for the Elantra, I strongly recommend Nokian Hakka' 2's, size 185/65-15.
