Why would you care what they think? It's YOUR money, isn't it? You'll 
get the last laugh by spending half as much and pocketing the 
difference. The way I look at it, by not wasting my money on an 
expensive car just to have a silly status symbol, I can either buy other 
toys or invest the difference and be able to retire that much sooner.
